On 10 September 2019 we released four cygnets (young swans) onto the Yellowstone River at Alum Creek in Yellowstone National Park. The Swan Partnership, working with Yellowstone National Park, is committed to increasing the number of breeding Trumpeter Swans within Yellowstone National Park. In 2019, two new pairs bred in the park and hatched young. We hope that this trend continues and that Trumpeter Swans will once again become a common sight within the World’s first National Park.
